About Us
Fruit Loops Art Center is Hood River's art hub for kids (and their adults) to have fun and be creative. We're providing process art experiences with separate areas of the center dedicated to different art mediums (painting, drawing, building, kitsch projects, handicrafts, etc) and an openness for every artist to explore as much as they'd like. We provide drop-off Art Clubs for school age kids where we explore different mediums, materials, concepts, etc and experiment with different items that we bring into the art center for the craft bar.
About the Role
The Program Lead will prep and guide the Art Club kids in art prompts/experiences each week. You will have a Studio Assistant to help the kids through the main Art Club projects as well as assist you in helping the kids find supplies, use tools/materials, and tidy up. You will have a storage space for your supplies as well as access to communal art center supplies. You will also have space for storing works in progress or display. You will communicate with the Studio Assistant and art center owners about supply inventory and general questions. You will be responsible for managing the Studio Assistant in cleaning up after Art Clubs, keeping organized records of the cash till, and closing the art center.
